LMAO!!! SO FUNNY my personal return for shares bought between 2021 and 2022 is:
8.9%
I bought all my shares within the same time period.
And yet my return was 1% less than the 3yr return, and 17% less than the 1yr.
What could explain this?
Well it is explainable that in this same three-year-long time period, the market was up and down, and I apparently bought when the market was high.
Oops.
But cool to learn that it's counterintuitive.
Because if I just look at market graphs averages 1yr or 3yr, then, it tells me I problably got 10% gain at least.
However then I look at my actual numbers and I see in truth, during that same period, I actually got (only) a 9% gain!
So better pay attention is the lesson! Pay attention to MY ACTUAL numbers, not just general numbers for the same time period.
